Vincent Balzani graduated in piano at the "Verdi" conservatory in Milan under the guidance ofAlberto Mozzati with full marks and honors. TO14 years old 1st prize at the "Ricordi" in Milan. At 16 he was awarded the “Liszt” prize at the “Maria Canals” in Barcelona. At 19, 2nd prize at the "Pozzoli" in Seregno and 1st prize at the "Città di Treviso" and at the "FP Neglia" in Enna at the "GB Viotti" in Vercelli. In 1975, the centenary year of Maurice Ravel's birth, he represented Rai in the review - competition at the ORTF in Paris. Throughout his career he has performed tours around the world and has performed for prestigious theaters and famous Italian festivals as a soloist with orchestra and in chamber ensembles (La Scala, San Carlo, Petruzzelli, Regio di Torino, Olimpico, Bergamo and Brescia Festival, Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi, Settembre Musica) . He has to his credit numerous radio and television recordings and engravings with music by Scarlatti, Mozart, Hummel, Beethoven, Chopin (complete studies Op.10 and Op.25), Rossini – Liszt, Schubert – Liszt, Debussy.From 1973 to 1995 he held the principal piano chair at the Piacenza Conservatory and from 1996 at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan.He is regularly invited to be part of juries of international competitions(“GB Viotti”, “Rina Sala Gallo”, “Pozzoli”, “London , Madrid, “Tchaikovsky junior” of Kurashiki, “Takamatsu”, “Maria Canals” of Madrid, “Parnassos” of Monterrey, “Hummel” of Shenzhen ) and to hold masterclasses, conferences all over the globe. For some time he has combined the concert and didactic activity with the organizational one. He is currently artistic director of the international competitions "Città di Cantù" and "Valsesia Musica" and of the competitions reserved for young talents, "Pianotalents" of Milan, "Monterosa - Kawai" of Varallo, of the "Tadini International" of Lovere and of the Champion's Keyboard Piano Competition Online.From 2010 to 2021 it was artistic consultant of the prestigious “Pozzoli” competition of Seregno and from 2012 of Pozzolino until 2020.Since 2009 he is founder and Artistic Director of Pianofriends and President of the PianoIn Association from Milan.Since January 2018 he has been regularly invited to give concerts, seminars and masterclasses in the most important halls of thePeople's Republic of China and Hong Kong as testimonial of the Yangtze River Grand Plan. He collaborates with Parsons Limited of Hong Kong on an important educational-musical project for children.Since 2021 he has been a lecturer at theReduced Academy Of Stradella.
